Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI)

As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), we are not only serving our members, but we are serving our communities as a whole. More than simply providing strong and fair financial services, our time and resources are devoted to building up the areas that we serve. Like all credit unions, we are a not-for-profit cooperative and our members all own an equal share of the credit union itself. Everything we take in, from deposits to loan payments, is immediately given back to our members and the community by providing reliable convenience services, healthy lending opportunities, financial counseling, lower fees, and higher dividends. Only a small number of financial institutions in Mississippi are CDFIs, and we are so proud to be included on that short list!

We do more outside of the walls of our branches, though. We go out to where our people are, and where their people are. We provide awareness of financial health, community-wide financial education events, and host full-service in-school branches to help educate tomorrow’s leaders. (In fact, we are the first credit union in Mississippi to establish 2 in-school branches!) We work closely with local charities, such as Habitat for Humanity, to provide resources that further their cause. We donate to area schools, sporting organizations, community fund raisers, and non-profit organizations. You’ll often find us handing out goodies at local festivals and fairs or participating in the local Real Life high school events. We build parks, we hold supply drives, and so much more. Every bit of what we do, no matter where we go, is for the communities that we serve, where our families and friends live and work.
